Want to know where you are in the Social Technological Ladder? See for yourself!
I, myself was just a mere Spectator, prior to the Digital Marketing class. During my free time, I enjoyed reading food blogs from Spot.ph, OurAwesomePlanet and other local bloggers to know whether a newly opened restaurant of my liking was worth a try! I also reviewed online forums and ratings whenever I would purchase a product or buy from an online seller. Whenever I would travel, I would check out Tripadvisor for places to visit, yelp for recommended restaurants and Booking.com for hotel reviews. While driving to and from work, I would listen to podcasts to utilise my time in traffic instead of just listening to music or gossip in some FM radio shows. These are my ways of expanding my horizon and adding to my knowledge in some sort.
I like to keep my private life separated from social media. Part of the reason is because of security issues since the Internet isn’t a safe place to freely post information about myself. I have explained in my previous post on how FoodlockerPh came to be and it is my way of posting ratings and reviews on the food and restaurants around the Metro through my foodstagram account. But I know this is not enough.
Luckily, through the Digital Marketing course, I learned how to be a Creator of digital content. I created my first blog to not only post my learnings but start writing more extensively on my food experiences as a digital platform to broaden my market reach. It is also the first time I created a video and uploaded it publicly on my youtube channel and blog! At first I was reluctant to make it public especially the digital introduction about myself but these are the personal facts I am willing to share publicly. This is hopefully the start of being more digitally active as the world continuously transforms into a digital economy!
