Upon watching the teaser video of Team ECQuities, the teaser was catchy and made very well, however, it did not clearly explain what the brand was about. At first I thought Josie Philippines as an online platform who replies fast and selling female filipino-made products because of the logo and font color of the name but only to find out, when the group discussed that the Josie brand is actually a Marikina made shoe manufacturer. It would have been better if their logo, instead of having a face of a woman, should have just placed a logo of a shoe to already give the consumer a perception that they are a shoe brand.
The group also emphasised that they below in a doorknob industry — high competition and low differentiation since there are a lot of seller of those kinds of Marinina-made shoes. This is where the importance of a Facebook Digital Marketing Campaign comes in to ensure brand differentiation and recognition for the brand Josie, as a new entrant in the PH online market to compete with existing players, like the famous Marikina shoe brand, Olivia MNL, who has been in existence for a couple of years now.
