LEARNING ON THE GO

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I personally didn’t think that online learning would be possible nor effective. But today we are forced to use digital sources to learn as we cannot simply stop our lives and stop learning because of the virus in our midst and we cannot be physically present in the traditional classroom setting. We must learn to adapt in the "new normal" and strive under the circumstances we are currently in. This is where “Learning on the Go” comes in.

We can access synchronous and asynchronous anytime and anywhere. It enables organisations to expand their potential geographic reach even with thousands of miles away. In this way, instructors would be more than present and with just a message away, can reply to your inquiries easily. Like someone who doesn't live in the Metro can apply attend classes in AGSB. As Fr. Jett said, it creates a sense of inclusivity.

The design Ateneo uses which can also be followed by other institutions is ACE.

Activate from Context - bring relatable topics and examples to your audience to activate their learnings;

Connect to Content - not just present topics, but connect to relevant examples and situations and lastly;

Evaluate to Validate - so your audience can apply and practice the topics at hand. It is the best way to ensure that they learn and comprehend the topics presented.

The only thing students must uphold in this set-up is the sense of responsibility to learn by themselves and cope with the lessons.
