With more than 70 days on Enhanced Community Quarantine lockdown here in Manila gave bakers at heart the time to make their baking dreams into a reality. The Cheng sisters started their ECQ time experimenting on different flavours and figuring out the right dough mixture and towards the end of ECQ, they finally perfected their custard filled donuts.
I came home from work today all ecstatic as I finally got my box of hand crafted homemade donuts from Pan de Nice.
My personal order of a box of 6: Vanilla, Ube & Chocolate
I opted to get 2 of each to get to try all of their three current flavour offerings. Each donut is soft, moist and perfectly round filled with an ample amount of custard to make sure you won't miss any custard in every bite. What makes their donuts extra scrumptious is all of their fillings are made personally from scratch by the two sisters.
My personal favourite is pretty obvious, the one where the donut is half way done right after I took a picture of the box!

Trust me, these are one of the best donuts I've had! I ate two whole donuts in one afternoon. And everyone who had these today said nothing else but praised these wonderful creations as these were nothing compared to commercially sold donuts or those from overpriced bakeries.
